How practice works
- Find your gaps. Start with the free 10-question check. Each answer shows why the safest choice is safer, not just which letter is correct.
- Drill weak topics. Short sessions focus on the areas where your answers were wrong, unsure or slow.
- Sit a timed mock. Work through a 50-question paper within 45 minutes, then review every mistake before you try again.
Questions about the test and this app
Is UK Site Safety Prep the official CITB test?
No. It is an independent practice resource published by Dahmani Limited. The Health, Safety and Environment test is run by CITB, and CSCS issues the cards. We are not affiliated with either organisation.
How many questions are in the real Operatives test and how long does it take?
The CITB Operatives test has 50 multiple-choice questions and 45 minutes. CITB states a 90% pass mark, which is at least 45 out of 50. Check the official CITB Operatives test page for current details.
Will practice guarantee a pass or a CSCS card?
No. Scores, timing and topic feedback are study aids. They are not official results and do not guarantee a pass, a qualification or a card. Card requirements are set by CSCS, so check the official CSCS guidance.
Are the questions copied from the official test?
No. Every question and explanation is original, written from public HSE and GOV.UK guidance. We do not use official CITB questions, answers, revision books or card artwork. Read how we create content.
Which test do I need?
That depends on your job and the card you are applying for. Confirm your route with the official CSCS Card Finder before you buy any preparation. This site covers the Operatives route only.
